Vogue editor Anna Wintour is making player moves. She personally invited Knicks front man Amar'e Stoudemire to attend last night's Fashion Night Out at the Lincoln Center. The rumor mills are reporting Amar'e will accompany Vogue European editor- at-large Hamish Bowles of Tommy Hilfiger show this weekend. It'd be a good idea to remember the name LaQuan Smith. The 22 year old, yes 22, self taught New York based fashion designer has created a huge buzz in record time by dressing the likes of Lady Gaga and Rihanna and getting nods from sir fashion themselves Kanye West and Andre Leon Talley. All of this powerhouse approval doesn't come undeserved. LaQuan's work uses finite attention to detail through volume, interesting texture combination, and glamor that just can't be ignored. Closetstatus was in attendance at the recent Married to the Mob x Wish ATL event and left with bags full. The pop-up-shop/party presented by Casio G-Shock showcased MTTM's first delivery for Fall 2010. The collection fittingly named "M.O.B Aime les Sucettes" (M.O.B Loves Lollipops) infuses ultra feminine, Paris inspired pieces with the usual street wise MTTM tees and hoodies.
