Another refreshing interview with a new brand called, Trendsettaz clothing.   We had the chance to talk with them and  ask them about Trendsettaz and how the brand came to life.  Without further waiting, here  is the interview and tell us what you think about Trendsettaz Clothing!!

1. The name Teenage trendsettaz screams out young, hot, stylish individuals. What made you choose that as the brand name?

It’s a weird story actually, I'll make it short...lol. During my early years of high school me and my friends had a little group called the "Teenage Trendsettaz" we just liked to get fresh basically, it wasn’t a gang or nothing like that, just kids that liked to get fly. So that’s where the name surfaced from.

2. Who started the brand and who is part of the clothing brand?

Me (Wayne Fryer) I'm basically a one man band. I don't really have a staff, I have My cousin (Tamika Fryer) who helps with PR and marketing for the brand. But the whole thing was started and pushed by me since 2007.

3. What were some of the problems that you had when you started bringing out your brand?

4. So would you say it is easier to promote your brand or would you say it’s easy as far as getting ideas for your clothing?

It’s always easy getting ideas, but getting people to understand your ideas is the difficult part.

5.  Where do you get your inspiration for your designs on your clothing?  How does the thought process come about?

Most of the time the inspiration comes from my big head, lol. There are times where I see something designed by someone else that I like but would do differently in my own unique way.

6.  From the first shirt that you all had, "The bones and Bowties" tee, I see from the shirt the shades and the cool kid face going on, and the bones going across the face.   What was the symbol behind that design?

I'm a big fan of the Ivy League preppy style, but I like to incorporate it in other styles not just preppy nerdy, so that logo is an exact replication of styles I like, mixed together.

7.  I see that you are based from Atlanta to New York, which are 2 popular places for fashion.  Since you are familiar with these 2 places which one has the best style?

I currently reside in Augusta, GA but I’m from New York. It’s kinda hard to not go with New York, I mean, I was born and raised there. But Atlanta is quickly emerging, so Lookout!

8.  Out of Atlanta and New York which one was more receptive to your brand when you first put it out there?

I can’t really say, because they both show tremendous love to the brand.

9.   Which location do you think is more beneficial to your brands success?

New York

10.  What can we look forward to seeing from trendsettaz clothing in the upcoming 2010 year?

Tees, Beanies, Caps, Cut and sewn items, Collaborations, and some more projects I can’t speak of, shhhh....lol.

11.  What are the long terms goals for the brand?

One long term goal is to have my own Flagship store. Another is to stay consistent in this world of fashion that changes everyday.

14.  Last question that we always the founders of the brand? What sneakers do you love to wear with Trendsettaz clothing?

That would probably have to be The Black and White Converse all stars, the reason is because they're so versatile and you can wear them with just about anything.
